Angels
Angels- Heavenly beings created by God
Luke 20;35, 36: “But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are joined in marriage.
36 “Neither can they die anymore; for they are equal unto the angels, and are the children of God, being the children of Resurrection.”
Those who are saved and believe in the Lord Jesus become as angels when they die. Once we understand this it will show us more about our loved ones when they die.
Innumerable
Genesis 12;22: “But ye are come unto Mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the Heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.”
So as our loved ones pass on they become part of this innumerable company of angels.
Elect
I Tim 5;21: “I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.”
Matthew 24;22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. The word elect in both verses mean, favorite: chosen, elect, in Greek.
They become the elect as angels.
They do not marry
Mat 22;30: For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in Heaven.”
Invisible
If angels are invisible and we become as angels, then our loved ones are with us in spirit when they die, we just can’t see them. Hebrews 1;13,14: But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? This shows us that they are invisible. Although there is also scripture that says at other time they can be seen!
I think this revelation helped me to face death more than any verse I read.
Possess Emotions
Luke 15:10: “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”
If we are as angels, we also would possess emotions and be able to rejoice even in our next life. So, our loved ones are rejoicing with us now!
