With the Good Lord’s Help I will be dependent on Him!

Last Week we talked about how dependent we were on God. This week we are going to talk about deciding with the good Lords help, to be dependent on God! It seems funny that we can’t be dependent on God even for the smallest things even though he supplies our every need. We sometimes talk to God in our mind, sometimes we talk to him out loud. If we will just listen to ourselves, some of the things we say will bring us to realize that we are not as dependent on him as we should be. Whether you speak out loud or to yourself, the Lord still hears you! He hears all your unbelief! We waste words saying; where are you Lord, why didn’t you do this Lord, why did this happen Lord? The list goes on and on. Just as our doubts go on and on.
With us faith seems to only come by seeing. I suppose we forget to remember the verse, (Hebrews 11;1) “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things no seen.” Even though we don’t see it yet we have to believe. If we don’t believe, how can we be dependent on him? If we can have this faith in our hearts and minds that this verse is talking about we can learn to be totally dependent on God. (Matthew 18;3) “And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” I know you remember when your kids were little or when they were babies. They were totally dependent on you for their every need. This is the way we should be to God. When you were a child you didn’t have a care in the world. You knew when you got up in the morning there would be food on the table. This is the place we have to come to with God. No matter what is going on in our life we are trusting him!
If we can start trusting God for everything in our life, then maybe he will trust us to do what he has called us to do. He can’t give us work to do in his kingdom if we can’t even trust him for our own lives.

4. Is there any family members or friends that you have not been able to trust God with?

5. Can you turn them over to God and say; they are yours Lord, use them for your glory!

6. Can you really trust him this time.
